Montreal. Serena Williams and Wozniacki to clash in a very interesting quarterfinal

We will have a great quarterfinal in Toronto where Serena Williams will face Caroline Wozniacki.

Serena has found some of her best tennis in Toronto after a “not-smashing” 2014. The American will face her good friend Caroline Wozniacki that has been playing magnificent tennis after being horribly dumped by McIlroy (see article).

Serena defeated Lucie Safarova in the 3rd round 7-5 6-4 while Caroline has demolished Shelby Rogers (Bouchard conqueror) in just 56 minutes 6-1 6-0.

Caroline: I am really confident

The Dane has reached he quarters dropping just 6 games in the entire tournament and she is obviously happy about her current condition ” [today] I felt really comfortable and confident. I served really well, returned well. Shelby is a tough player – she has some big shots out there – but I was able to just neutralize them and play my game, and I’m happy how the match went today.”

Serena: It will be a good match

The American is looking forward to playing this quarter “It will be a great match. She’s playing great tennis. She’s really focused. She’s just doing really, really well. It will be a really, really tough match. It will be a good match for me to see where I am.”

Head to head

Serena leads 6-1, but Caroline has a real chance to upset the world no.1 this time.
