Raonic wins the title in Washington!

Milos Raonic wins his 6th career title in Washington!

The Canadian had a great tournament in DC to grab the title without conceding a single set. In the final against his friend and compatriot Vasek Pospisil, Milos was completely dominant to score 58 points vs. Pospisil’s 38. Milos left on the table just 2 points on his first serve (26 on 28), he broke Vasek 4 times without conceding a single break point. It couldn’t be better than this. (Match stats).

Raonic: I couldn’t have asked for more

Milos commented “It’s great the way it started. I couldn’t have asked for more. I had a chance to break in every single game in that first set. Then I continued to play solid after that. All in all, a very good performance and an important moment for me.

I think I’m playing at a high level. I think the number I have beside my name is not a coincidence and I don’t think it would be a coincidence if it got lower.”

This is Raonic’s 6th career title, the first of the year after an 11 months drought. After this week Milos will climb 1 place in the ATP rankings to be the new world no.6… going for more.
