Carlito wrote: “Roger has been one of my idols and a source of inspiration! 🥲 Thank you for everything you have done for our sport! ❤️ I still want to play with you! 🥹 Wish you all the luck in the world for what comes next! 💪🏻 @rogerfederer.”
While Roger could not reply to all the nice messages he received on the occasion of his announcement of an imminent retirement. Nevertheless, I could not miss replying to the new world number 1 with this message:

WWLWWWWWWW Ranked world no.1, Alcaraz played his last match on the 18th of September when he overcame world no.74 Soon-Woo Kwon 6-4 7-6(1) in the Rubber 2 of the Davis Cup (draw).
At present, during this year the Spaniard has a composed 52-10 win-loss record. Carlos conquered 5 titles in 2022 in Rio de Janeiro, Miami, Barcelona, Madrid and U.S. Open. The Spaniard reached the final in Hamburg and in Umag.
Alcaraz is scheduled to play next in Nur-Sultan (Astana Open). He will start to play the tournament from the main draw on the 3rd of October.
