After a great Wimbledon we had a nice reshape of the WTA rankings.
Bouchard
The new Canadian sensation Genie Bouchard climbs 6 places to be ranked no.7 after reaching the final in Wimbledon. Genie has Sharapova and Radwanska as the next targets… going for more.
Kvitova
The Wimbledon champion gains 2 places to be ranked no.4. Let’s see if this time she can keep the momentum. She didn’t after winning the Championships in 2011.
Serena Williams
The American is still the world no.1, but she is really losing steam and if she doesn’t get back to her last year’s results she might be at arm’s length with the other players. Up for grab.
Venus Williams
The “other” Williams lost in 3 tough sets against Petra Kvitova in the Wimbledon 3rd round. This allowed her to gain 6 places and to be ranked no.25.
