Emma Raducanu has been struggling with all sorts of injuries during this season. Unfortunately, the 2021 US Open champion had also to withdraw from her opening match in Nottingham after having issues with her abdominals. The British sensation had to skip all the other tournaments leading to Wimbledon, hoping to recover in time and be fit for the Championships.
Emma is expected to play against Alison Van Uytvanck in the Wimbledon first round. However, according to top journalist Stuart Fraser, she had to cancel her practice session with Garbine Muguruza on Friday. Fraser said he saw her going in the “opposite direction” and “looking rather downbeat.”
There is no new statement about her condition. However, there are speculations that she is still struggling with her fitness. Time will tell.
Emma Raducanu has not turned up on No 1 Court for her scheduled practice session with Garbine Muguruza at 2:15pm. Saw her heading in the opposite direction about 20 minutes ago looking rather downbeat.
