Frenchmen Benneteau and Roger-Vasselin win the Roland Garros doubles title!

Great news for French tennis as home favorite Benneteau and Roger-Vasselin win the doubles in Paris.

No French team was able to win the Roland Garros since 1984 after Laconte and Noah triumphed in Paris.  There was a lot of emotion after the victory. Roger-Vasselin said “This is the best moment of my career, almost of my life,” and the public sang “La Marseillaise” during the speeches (both players had to hold their tears).

Lopez and Granollers tried to win  the Roland Garros as it was since 1990 that a Spanish team was not able to do that (Sanchez and Casal). They were unlucky… probably next year…
