Kyrgios awarded with a wild card for the French Open main draw!

Great news for Nick Kyrgios!

The Australian has received a wildcard to compete at the 2014 French Open. Nick has fully deserved that after showing that he is already able at competing at the highest levels.

Nick has reached the 2nd round in Melbourne where he lost in 5 sets against Benoit Paire after being 2 sets up and he has recently won 2 challengers back to back in Sarasota and Savannah (both on clay).

The 19 years-old is now ranked no.159 and he is expected to break in the top 100 any soon.

From Rafter.

The Australian Davis Cup captain Pat Rafter commented “Nick has shown over the past 12 months that he can compete at Grand Slam level and also handle the pressure of big occasions like Davis Cup competition,”

Kyrgios has just ended up a preparation with King Roger in Zurich… so… he should be ready for Paris!

Good luck Nick!
