Novak Djokovic is the new world no.1 in the live rankings preceding Daniil Medvedev, Alexander Zverev and Rafael Nadal.
The Serbian champion will most probably not play in Indian Wells because the tournament requires all the players to be vaccinated. However, Djokovic can enjoy the fact that he is temporary back to be the world number 1 in the so-called live rankings.
LIVE RANKINGS.: Why Djokovic is no.1
Novak now precedes the actual world no.1 Daniil Medvedev in the live rankings because the Russian will drop 250 points at the end of this week (the points he won last year after conquering Marseille in 2021). Nevertheless, Medvedev can keep his world no.1 status after Indian Wells if he reaches the quarters in the desert (and Djokovic will skip the tournament).
