Serena Williams and Alexander Zverev are rather passionate about their sport. The American legend is well-known for having occasional outbursts on-court. Sascha Zverev went to an all-new level last week in Acapulco, where he was withdrawn from the tournament after he bashed the umpire’s chair with his racket.
During an interesting interview with CNN, Serena was asked to comment about Zverev’s episode and her outbursts.
“I would be in jail”
Serena talked about double standards to say:
“That’s just my personality. I think everyone is different. It’s not necessarily about cracking, I think it’s just more about, passion, and it just boils down to your personality. I am who I am on the court and off the court. I am very passionate about what I do.
I am passionate about everything. But, there’s absolutely a double standard. I would be in jail if I did that [what Zverev did in Acapulco].”
