ATP Rankings. Nadal and Djokovic lose steam. Gasquet out of top10. Kyrgios on the rise

This week the ATP1000 in Monte-Carlo was the main event.

Nadal

Rafa is still in great command even if he lost 420 points. 2270 points above Nole.

Djokovic

Nole was the defending champion in Monte-Carlo and after losing to Federer in the semifinals he squandered 640pts. Still the solid world no.2

Ferrer

David reached the semifinal in Monte-Carlo beating his nemesis Rafael Nadal. This allowed him to get 360pts and overtake Berdych as the new world no.5

Gasquet

Injured Gasquet was out and he could not defend the 180pts he gained last year in Monte-Carlo (he lost to Fognini in the quarters). This made Richard losing 2 places and be ranked world no.11.

The Biggest Winner

Paolo Lorenzi won the challenger 35 in San Luis Potosi to gain 22 place and be ranked world no. 85

The Biggest Loser

Jurgen Melzer lost 13 places after crashing out in Monte-Carlo opener.

Keep an eye on Kyrgios

Australian hope Nick Kyrgios wins the  100 Challnger in Sarasota to gain     50 places. Now world no.171… and going for more. Much more.
