Davis Cup. France recover a 0-2 deficit to reach the semis

France found itself in a very strange situation during this weekend. They were facing Germany that was not able to compete with all its best players (Haas, Mayer and Kohlschreiber).

So, Germany could only play with world no. 96 Kamke and world no. 119 Gojowczyk. Incredibly enough Germany was 2-0 up in the first day as Tsonga lost to Gojowczyk and Benneteau to Kamke.

Finally the French team recovered on Sunday winning the doubles (Benneteau and Llodra defeated Begemann and Kamke 6-1 7-6 (5) 4-6 7-5) and Tsonga and Monfils won their singles on Sunday (Tsonga defeated Kamke 6-3 6-2 6-4 and Monfils beat Gojowczyk 6-1 7-6 (0) 6-2).

The semi vs. Czech Republic

France will play the defending champion Czech Republic in the semi-final. France should be the favourite.
