A tough day at the office, but also a nice one for world no.2 Na Li.
The Chinese had to face an always energetic Dominika Cibulkova that fights for every single point till the very end.
The match was a real roller coaster with far too many breaks on each side. Eventually after winning the first set 7-5, Na Li had to bow to a great comeback from the Slovakian that won 6 consecutive games from a 2-2 score line in the second set.
So … out of the blue Dominika was leading 5-7 6-2 2-0 and she looked stronger and stronger till a 5 games black out. In fact, Na Li regrouped from a 1-3 deficit in the decider to finally win 6-3.
