“We are all equal,” Coco Gauff talks about her struggle

Coco Gauff talks about being discriminated

Cori Gauff is trying to get to her best possible condition before hopefully having a deep run at the upcoming Australian Open. Even if Coco is still 17, she is very well aware of social issues.

The American teenager was extremely vocal in defense of the black community soon after the horrible killing of George Floyd. She also has stressed many times that she used to be discriminated against only for the fact that she is a girl.

During an interesting video, Coco revealed:

“I just want people to know like just because I’m a girl doesn’t change anything. I mean, I can’t tell you how many times I’ve been told I can’t do something because I’m a girl and I’m sure I’m not the only one there’s a lot of other girls out there that feel the same way.

I think it’s important that people understand that people come in different shape sizes and have different beliefs and we’re all different but it’s important we celebrate the differences and make sure we see each other as equal but also embrace each other’s differences as well.”
