3 YEARS BAN? Why Djokovic may not be allowed in Australia for long

These are the reasons why Novak Djokovic could be banned from Australia for 3 years

Novak Djokovic

Novak Djokovic is part of a rather weird controversy. The 20-slam champion received a medical exemption to play the Australian Open, but his visa was revoked on arrival. According to reports, Novak had the exemption because he tested positive to Coronavirus in the last 6 months. However, there was a rather clear letter from the Australian Prime Minister Scott Morrison to Tennis Australia stating that having tested positive is not considered as being vaccinated.

As reported by the Express, Djokovic may face a 3-year ban from Australia because the visa was canceled. However, since Novak’s “mistake” was unintentional he may not be banned for 3 years unless he is “considered to be a risk to the health, safety or good order of the Australian community.”

It’s probably better that Djokovic’s father steps back with his comments to avoid more troubles for his son.
