“I probably traumatized my team.” Naomi Osaka admits her mistakes

Naomi Osaka had nice words for her team after winning a first round match in Melbourne

Naomi Osaka

Naomi Osaka was finally back to competitions in Melbourne after being out for 4 months. The Japanese sensation went through a sheer roller coaster last year after winning the Australian Open. Naomi clearly stated that she was struggling with her mental health career, not coping with all the pressure.

Naomi Osaka has a lovely personality and during the press conference that followed her first-round match in Melbourne, she talked about the gratitude she has for her team.

Naomi commented:

“The reason why I hope my team doesn’t dislike me is because I probably traumatized them last year. Honestly, there’s a lot of things that were happening that I wasn’t talking to them about, so it was kind of unfair to them, and I really appreciate them for sticking with me because I wouldn’t want to be in my team last year. There was a lot.

I just really wanted to tell them that I was grateful, and if they still want to work together, then that would be amazing if they could come over and we could all hang out and hit balls and stuff.”
