Karolina Pliskova was hoping to start her 2022 season in the best possible way, but unfortunately, that will not happen after she got injured to her hand.

“Unfortunately I hurt my right hand in practice yesterday and I won’t be able to play in Adelaide, Sydney, and Australian Open this year. I am sad not being able to start my season in Australia and I will miss my Australian fans very much.”

At the moment ranked no.4, Pliskova played her last match on the 14th of November when she beat world no.5 Barbora Krejcikova 0-6 6-4 6-4 in the round robin in Guadalajara (draw).
This season Pliskova owns a composed 37-19 record. Karolina Pliskova’s best accomplishment of this year was getting to the final in Rome, in Wimbledon and Montreal.
