Emma Raducanu is extremely focused on having a solid preseason to be as ready as possible to compete in 2022. The British sensation has hired Torben Beltz as her new coach. Torben used to be Angelique Kerber’s previews coach and he was absolutely instrumental in helping the German to win 3 slams and become the world number 1.

During a recent interview, Raducanu revealed her training plans. She will spend a big part of December in the Middle East where she will play Mubadala World Tennis Championship.

Emma talks about her training regime saying that she will focus a lot on sprinting since she noticed that her opponents are very keen on using the drop shot against her.

Enma revealed:

“Six days I just completely switched off and I started my pre-season this week on Tuesday, but I’ve been doing a lot of fitness and not so much tennis. So I was a bit nervous coming out to play in front of everyone here.

I’m doing a pre-season and working hard on my fitness. As you can tell, I need to work with my sprints to the net as I was getting drop-shotted…then I’m heading out to the Middle East to finish my pre-season and then Christmas out there and flying to Australia from there on the 17th.”
