Federer: I have a stronger bond with Nadal than with Djokovic or Murray

Time for confessions for a rejuvenated Roger Federer.

The Swiss Legend has released an interview with CQ Australia where he talks about his personal relationship with the other players.

About his bond with Rafa…

Roger seems to have a very good relationship with his nemesis to comment “I am not sure about how close I am to Rafael Nadal. We are not the kind of friends that go out for dinner together if you know what I mean. We don’t call each other to talk about our lives. We see each other almost every week, and we take those occasions to chat a bit about ourselves.

I have shared a lot with Rafael, from 5-set matches to promoting together a tournament in Qatar. In those occasions, we had dinners together. I know Rafa’s family the best, as well. They are a nice and close family. I know his dad, mother, and sister.

Our bond is stronger than the one I may have with Novak Djokovic or Andy Murray. That’s why I feel the most connected and closer to Rafa.”

…and what is going to happen after

“I am curious to see what is going to happen once we’ll be done with our tennis careers. At that time I’ll know how truly close me, and Nadal are. Don’t know if we are going to keep in touch or not; it will be interesting to see” added the Maestro

And Djokovic?

Well, Roger didn’t say any specific but between him and Nole’s  family … well… let’s say there is not love in the air.
