Voila’ Monsieur Federer, welcome back!

Federer is on the roll and he is aiming at a formidable year end.

After winning in Basel he won for the first time the Paris Masters without losing a set and he looks to be the favorite for the final showdown in London.

The final lasted only 1h25m and became a bit more interesting in the second set (the first finished 6-1) when nobody was broken. To be frank, even if the duo was head to head it was clear that the Swiss was much more confident in his game. This confidence turned to be fatal in the tiebreak when a 6-1 lead proved to be too much to handle for Tsonga. Federer won it 7-3.

‘I’m very happy with my performance,’ Federer said . ‘I’m amazed by how well I played. I don’t think Jo played a bad match. It’s good to complete the tournament so solidly.’

‘I’m a bit disappointed that I have not been able to play better,’ said Tsonga. ‘He was better today. He was just too quick.’

Will 2012 be Roger’s year?
