Emma Raducanu and Daniel Evans are both leading the British contingent in their tours and share the same rank:22. However, while Evans (31) has a long experience playing on the tour, Emma (18) has just started.
After winning his 2nd round match against Kei Nishikori, Daniel was asked to comment about Raducanu’s debacle in the desert, where she lost in the opening match. Apparently, the Brit was not so surprised by the outcome, and he thinks that sorting out her coaching team will be essential for Emma.
“There are so many other things she’s got to do right now,” he said. “I read somewhere she said it was sort of a good feeling to get that match out of the way, and that’s probably true. Now, she’ll start getting back to a bit of normality where she can play and get ready for the next tournament.”
About her coaching team, Evans added:
“This week, she had Bates here and a hitter. The coaching thing will be sorted soon, I guess. Then, hopefully, it might be a longer partnership.”

Currently the world no.22 (career-high), Emma played her last match on the 8th of October when she lost to world no.100 Aliaksandra Sasnovich 6-2 6-4 in the 2nd round in Indian Wells (draw).
This season Raducanu has a composed 23-7 match record. Emma clinched 1 title at the U.S. Open. The Brit was the finalist in the Chicago.

Now the world no.22 (career-high), Daniel has achieved a composed 24-19 record in 2021. Daniel is playing at the moment in Indian Wells where he defeated Kei Nishikori 4-6 6-3 6-4.
Daniel Evans will compete against the world no.15 Diego Schwartzman in the 3rd round. Their current head to head is 1-0 for Schwartzman.
The Brit has won 1 title in 2021 in Melbourne.
