Dominika Cibulkova is the great surprise of the Australian Open!
The world no. 24 is coming from absolutely nowhere to dismiss in the same tournament Sharapova and then trash world no.11 Simona Halep and now world no. 5 Agnieszka Radwanska.
The match against the Pole was an absolute one way traffic as a tired Agnieszka couldn’t really offer a meaningful resistance. So the match was very very smooth for the Slovakian (difficult to predict… isn’t it?).
So the match ended after 70 minutes with Agnieszka managing to win only 2 point out of 16 on her second serve (0 only in the first set ….ouch!!!)

A spirited Dominika commented “Aga is an unbelievable player and I expected a tough match. I just knew I had to go for my shots,” said the 24-year-old, who has won three career singles titles, including at Stanford last year where she beat Radwanska in the final.
“I had so many thoughts in my head, but just focused on my game. I can’t believe I’m in a final.”
The final vs. Na Li
Dominika will play Na Li in the final. The Chinese will try for the 3rd time to finally win the title. Head to head is 4-0 for Na Li, but Cibulkova is playing at her very best.
