Aggressive Federer gets to the 3rd round in Melbourne

A good and fast win for Roger Federer in the 2nd round of the Australian Open.

The Swiss Maestro dismissed world no.99 Blaz Kavcic 6-2 6-1 7-6 (4) in just 1 hour and 37 minutes.

Roger was perfect in the first 2 sets to suffer a bit in the third one that went to the tiebreak. Eventually the Maestro won it at 4. Roger fired 11 aces (no double faults) and he went to the net 29 times (23 points won)! Match Stats.

Roger was rather pleased by his tennis in the first part of the match to comment “I’m happy on a hot day like this. It was a good first two sets I thought. I played really aggressive and it worked out. Third set I think he was more consistent. He served better. In the process, it got closer. I’m happy I got it done in three.”
