Federer: Dealing with the heat is mental

The extreme hot conditions In Melbourne are the “hot” topic of this slam.

Players (Dancevic, Dodig and Peng), Ball boys and spectators are really struggling to deal when play in temperatures above 40.

Usually the best is to prepare this slam in humid environments (many choose Chennai and Doha). Roger seems to deal with it rather well.

Federer

According to the Maestro “Depending on where you come from, it has a bigger effect on you, this type of heat, than maybe humid heat.

So it’s very personal, and it can become just a very mental thing and you just can’t accept that it’s hot. Just deal with it, because it’s the same for both.”

Roger will play his 2nd match of the slam against world no.99  Blaz Kavcic
