At the Australian Open she has dismissed Kiki Bertens 6-4 6-4 and now she has conceded just 3 games to Annika Beck.in 56 minutes.
Now Ana will test her tennis against local favourite Sam Stosur that is finally having a good run in Melbourne after a couple of disappointing years. Sam has defeated Tsvetana Pironkova 6-2 6-0 in just 67 minutes (quite a an achievement if you consider that Pironkova has just won the WTA in Sydney.
Ivanovic: It will be tough
Ana had some comments about her clash against Sam “It’s a tough match, a third round match that will not be easy for her or me. We’ve played a few times, and recently as well, and it was one each way and we’ve also played here.
“It will be tough and I’ll get myself in the best possible shape for that one.”
Head to head is 4-3 for Stosur (2-0 for the Australian) on outdoor hard courts.
