Emma Raducanu is going to face Stefanie Voegele in her opening match at the US Open. The new British sensation keeps on improving her rankings. After qualifying for the main draw, Emma gained 19 places in the live rankings to be the new world number 131.
Emma was meant to play Australian Open finalist Jennifer Brady in the first round in New York. However, the American player had to withdraw with an injury and lucky loser Stefanie Voegele replaced her.

Raducanu at the U.S. Open, ranking, and results in 2021
Now the world no.150 (career-high), Emma has achieved a compiled 16-6 record in 2021. The Brit is playing at the moment at the U.S. Open where she bested Bibiane Schoofs 6-1 6-2, Mariam Bolkvadze 6-3 7-5 and Mayar Sherif 6-1 6-4.
Emma Raducanu will compete against the world no.128 Stefanie Voegele in the 1st round on Wednesday at 2:00 pm on Court 17. In the past, they have never competed against each other so far on the main tour.
The Brit was the finalist in the Chicago.

Now ranked no.128, Voegele played her last match on the 27th of August when she lost to world no.88 Ana Konjuh 6-2 6-2 in the qualifications in U.S. Open (draw).
At the moment, during this season Voegele has managed to achieve a compiled 15-17 record.
