Fabulous Tomic reaches the semifinal in Sydney.

This is another great year for Bernard Tomic in Sydney.

Last year the young Australian has won his maiden (and only) tournament in here and he is definitely one of the favourites for the title also in 2014.

The match against Dolgopolov lasted 66 minutes with lots of spectacular shots. Eventually Bernard was the most inspired one to sin the match scoring 63 points vs. Alexandr’s 50.

Tomic: I played the right tennis today

Bernard commented “I knew it was going to be difficult, my record is not good against him. I played the right tennis today to win. He’s a bit like me but different. Not a lot of the players like playing him. That’s why he was ranked as high as I think 12th or 13th in the world. He was there for a year, year and a half in the top 15. “

The semi vs. Stakhovsky

Tomic will play world no.101 Stakhovsky (that has defeated Federer n last year’ s Wimbledon) in the semifinal. Head to head is 1-0 for Bernard
