“I am human” – Zverev will not play the Davis Cup for Germany

Sascha Zverev is not a fan of the new Davis Cup format and he announced that he will not play this year in this competition

Alexander Zverev represented his country in the best possible way at the Olympic Games, where he won the gold medal in singles. However, Zverev announced that he will not play Davis Cup in November since he needs a vacation to regroup after the season.

Sascha Zverev is one of those players who do not like the new format of the Davis Cup. The young German commented:

“I’m only human, too, and I need a vacation. We play from January to October. In November, with this format I won‘t play.”

The Davis Cup finals will be staged this year from the 25th of November until 5th of December.

Sascha Zverev is currently taking a break from tennis after he won the gold medal. The German player decided not to compete in Toronto and be back to competitions only on the occasion of the ATP1000 in Cincinnati.
