“Losses are good. I want more than top3,” says Tsitsipas before facing Humbert in Toronto

Stefanos Tsitsipas is about to play against Ugo Humbert in his opening match at the ATP1000 in Toronto. This match will be extremely tricky for the Greek champion since he has a losing record (0-2) against the Frenchman who has defeated him a few weeks ago at the Olympic Games in Tokyo.

During a recent interview, the Greek sensation admitted that while he is extremely happy for being the new world number three, he wants more.

Stefanos commented:

“I’m happy to be in that position. Top three has significant value to me. I’m aiming for more.”

To reach this position, Stefanos Tsitsipas had also to endure painful losses. The Greek played added:

“Losses are good. Losses help you build perspective and educate yourself to pursue things a different way. I am able to learn from a loss like this. And I’m able to apply something different next time. My game is there, and I’m enjoying playing tennis. I feel blessed that I get opportunities like this.”
