Novak Djokovic keeps on chasing Roger Federer’s records. The Serbian sensation has just won his 13th singles match at the Olympics to equal Roger Federer’s tally. Nevertheless, the world number 1 has the big opportunity to go one step further if he beats Sascha Zverev on Friday in the semi-final.

Djokovic happy after beating Nishikori
Novak Djokovic played a fantastic match in the quarterfinals against Kei Nishikori. Novak conceded only 2 games to the Japanese player, winning 6-2 6-0. Novak now has a remarkable 17-2 win-loss record against Kei.
After the match, Djokovic commented:
“Kei, I know his game very well. Him playing in Japan, this court where he had lots of success, I knew that he’s going to play very quick. And he’s not gonna give me a lot of time, so I had to be very alert. And I feel I had an answer for everything he had.”

Now the world no.1, the Serbian has managed to achieve a 38-3 win-loss record in 2021. The Serbian is playing at the moment in Tokyo where he ousted Hugo Dellien 6-2 6-2, Jan-Lennard Struff 6-4 6-3, Alejandro Davidovich Fokina 6-3 6-1 and Kei Nishikori 6-2 6-0.
