Djokovic: I want to help my country, but not as a politician

When you talk about Serbia, Novak Djokovic is always there to put extra energies to help his country.

During a recent interview the world no.2 said that he would like to give as much as he can in different ways, but definitely not as a politician.

From Nole

The Serb commented “I want to help my country in many ways but not as a politician. Novak Djokovic Foundation helps Serbia a lot by taking care of children with special needs, in order to provide them with proper education. We open kindergartens, playgrounds, we help institutions, and this means a lot to my country.”

…and talking about his season

Even if Djokovic has won “only” 1 slam + 6 other titles and he has lost the world no.1 rank he commented. “I believe that the year was successful for me. I consistently played well and it makes me really happy. The truth is I had three heavy defeats in Grand Slam tournaments, so I will learn from these experiences and try to correct errors in 2014.

The hardest was the loss to Rafael Nadal in the semi-final of Roland Garros. I wanted so much to defeat him, but that did not happen. However, Nadal showed how strong he is. I am really impressed with how he controlled the situation and returned to victories,”
