Roger Federer posted a nice message on Twitter congratulating Novak Djokovic after he won his 6th Wimbledon and 20th major

Roger Federer and Novak Djokovic share a fierce but respectful rivalry. On Sunday, Novak Djokovic achieved the incredible after he clinched his 20th slam following his 6th Wimbledon title. This means that Novak Djokovic has the same amount of slams under his belt as Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal.

When Rafael Nadal conquered his 20th slam, Federer wrote a heartfelt message congratulating his rival. The Swiss sensation did the same, posting the following tweet:

“Congrats Novak on your 20th major. I’m proud to have the opportunity to play in a special era of tennis champions. Wonderful performance, well done!”

At the moment ranked no.8, Roger played his last match on the 7th of July when he surrendered to world no.18 Hubert Hurkacz 6-3 7-6(4) 6-0 in the quarter of the Wimbledon (draw).
