Roger Federer and Novak Djokovic share a fierce but respectful rivalry. On Sunday, Novak Djokovic achieved the incredible after he clinched his 20th slam following his 6th Wimbledon title. This means that Novak Djokovic has the same amount of slams under his belt as Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal.
When Rafael Nadal conquered his 20th slam, Federer wrote a heartfelt message congratulating his rival. The Swiss sensation did the same, posting the following tweet:

Roger Federer in 2021
At the moment ranked no.8, Roger played his last match on the 7th of July when he surrendered to world no.18 Hubert Hurkacz 6-3 7-6(4) 6-0 in the quarter of the Wimbledon (draw).
This season Roger has managed to achieve an overall 9-4 match record.
Novak Djokovic in 2021
At the moment ranked no.1, Djokovic played his last match on the 11th of July when he beat world no.9 Matteo Berrettini 6-7(4) 6-4 6-4 6-3 in the final of the Wimbledon to win his 84th career title.
Until now, during this year the Serbian owns an overall 34-3 match record. The Serbian has won 4 titles in 2021 at the Australian Open, in Belgrade, at the French Open and in Wimbledon. The Serbian was the finalist in Rome.
Roger Federer and Novak Djokovic played each other 50 times. Their current record is 27-23 for Djokovic. The last time they competed against each other, Novak Djokovic won 7-6(1) 6-4 6-3 in the semifinal in Melbourne (Australian Open) in January 2020.
