Andy Murray withdraws from the ATP World Tour Finals

The Scott will not be able to play the final showdown in London after the operation to his lower back.

The tennis fans lost two important players for the season finale. Maria Sharapova has already announced she won’t be able to compete in Istanbul and now on the men’s side it’s time for Andy to pull out from London.

The reason of Andy’s retirement is that he has just had an operation to his lower back that has been bothering him for some time.

Murray: I am really disappointed

Andy wasn’t happy about his decision to comment “I’m really disappointed not to be playing this year, I love playing in front of my home crowd, it’s a great atmosphere.”

The Tournament Management

Andre Silva the tournament director commented: ‘It’s unfortunate that Andy will be unable to play in this year’s tournament. He’s had a historic year on the Tour and of course he’ll be missed. We wish him all the best as he continues his recovery from surgery, and we hope to see him back stronger than ever for the 2014 season.”
