Radwanska wins the title in Seoul!

A great start of the Asian swing for Agnieszka!

The Pole wins her 3rd title of the season rallying against a very good Anastasia Pavlyuchenkova. So far it was quite a strange year for Radwanska that has won the first two tournaments she has played in Auckland and Sydney to struggle to win any other tournament… well at least so far.

The final

The match was a 2 hours and 45 minutes battle. The first set accounted for half of the time with Anastasia recovering a 0-3 deficit and winning the set at the tie-break after saving 4 set points!

Then the quality of Pole made the difference with Agnieszka winning the 2nd set without much problems. In the third set none of the players dropped a single service game till the last one when the Pole broke Anastasia at 30 to win the title. Match Stats.

Agnieszka: I am very happy

A jubilant Radwanska commented “Especially after a great match, almost three hours of great tennis at a really high level, of course I’m very happy,

It was a very close match – tight sets, all of them – but I was just a little bit better in the important moments today.”

Anastasia: I’m actually proud of myself

Besides all the disappointment, the Russian was overall happy by her week to comment “It’s tough losing this match after fighting so long and coming so close. It’s difficult and frustrating, but in tennis you can be up, then down and you lose some and you win some.

I’m actually proud of myself. I had a great week. I showed some good tennis and it was a great final.”
