Igor Andreev to retire at the end of the season.

Time to call it a career!

Igor Andrev, former world no. 18 doesn’t have any fuel in the tank. Plagued by some injuries, the Russian was coming from a low season with a 2-7 record to slip to the 809th rank. (see progression).

In a communicate Igor announced “Time is running career ends. after Wimbledon I decided to complete professional performances. This year – the last in my career due to various factors and circumstances. During the last years has been a lot of injuries, which played a decisive role. But life goes on, I want to stay in the sport, there are a few ideas.’s see what this will evolve. Sport – this is my life. Igor will retire with 3 career titles all in 2005 in Valencia defeating David Ferrer, Pelermo defeating Filippo Volandri and in Moscow defeating Nicolas Kiefer.
