Nestor and Pospisil pulled out an incredible 5 set victory against Nenad Zimonjic and Illja Bozoljac to give an interesting 2-1 lead to Canada.
So we will know the team that is going to face Czech Republic in the final only in the very last day in the reverse singles when Djokovic will face Raonic and Pospisil will play Tipsarevic.
Actually it’s very difficult to forecast an outcome. In fact, Serbia seems still to be the favourite for 2 reasons. First on paper they are the strongest team in the reverse singles as Djokovic should beat Raonic and Tipsarevic should defeat Pospisil. Second Serbia will play on the home soil. But… you’ll never know, especially in the Davis Cup!
The key match should be the one between Pospisil (that is still green) and Tipsarevic (that is definitely playing his worst tennis of the last few seasons). Both Pospsil and Tipsarevic may struggle with their nerves… it will be interesting… unless Milos upsets Nole.
