Karolina Muchova is having a good run in Madrid after defeating the seed number 2 Naomi Osaka in three sets. Karolina went 2 places up in the rankings to be the new world no.20, thanks to the fact that Marketa Vondrousova and Petra Martic lost some points.
Veronika Kudermetova is enjoying a great season with a strong 22-9 win-loss record. Last week she reached the semi-final in Istanbul so as to gain 1 place in the rankings (she is now 28).
Marta Kostyuk also reached the semifinal in Istanbul last week to gain 8 places in the rankings and be the new world no.77.
