ATP rankings: Melzer, Monfils and Janowicz advance, Isner falls

The best performance in the ranking has been recorded by the two finalists in Winston-Salem. In fact, Jurgen Melzer, the winner,  climbed 5 places to be ranked world no.27. The runner up, Gael Monfils, went 4 places up to be ranked no.39.

John Isner had a wonderful run in Cincinnati to lose to Rafael Nadal in the final, get 600pts and be ranked world no.14. Unfortunately after Cincy he wasn’t able to compete and defend his title in Winston-Salem to lose 250pts and go back 3 places in the ranking (now world no.17).

Isner’s injury helped Janowicz, Almagro and Simon to go up 1 place each. Now Jerzy is world no.14 (career high, already achieve the 12th of August this year).
