Stefanos Tsitsipas is now the leader of the year-to-date ATP rankings in 2021

Stefanos Tsitsipas had a fantastic week in Monte Carlo, where he won his first Master ATP 1000. After last week Stefanos Tsitsipas is the world number 1 in the so-called year-to-date rankings, right before Andrey Rublev and Novak Djokovic.

Stefanos Tsitsipas now has 2540 points, 140 more than Andrey Rublev and 310 more than Novak Djokovic.

Recently Stefanos Tsitsipas said that he is not very focused on the rankings because if the results come, the rankings will go improve automatically. Therefore, he is more interested in improving his overall tennis and win titles. That worked pretty well in Monte Carlo. Stefanos will play his next tournament in Barcelona, where he is seeded number 2. The seed number 1 in Catalonia is Rafael Nadal, who is the hot favorite to conquer the title.
