Djokovic annihilates Goffin to play Isner in the quarters in Cincinnati.

Trashy stuff in Cincinnati!

Nole gave quite a lesson to the upcoming David Goffin.

The world no.1 played an absolutely perfect match to dismiss David in 50 minutes conceding only a couple of games and no break points. In the second set Goffin managed to score only 7 points. As we said: trashy stuff!  Match Stats.

Nole: I have an extra motivation and an opportunity to make history

If Djokovic wins the title in Cincinnati,  he will be the first player in tennis history to have won all Masters 1000 to comment  “I have an extra motivation and an opportunity to make history in this tournament, so I’m very inspired to play well day after day,”he said

Then he had a couple of words about the match “Even though the scoreline says it was quite straightforward, it’s still it’s never easy. You need to work for your wins and points. That was kind of the mindset I had today before I came to the court. I wanted to just play from the first to last point committed and just aggressive, and I did well.”

Next vs. Isner

Nole will play an erratic John Isner in the quarters. This is going to be a very interesting match between possibly the best service at the moment (John holds the record on aces in 2013) and one of the best returners of the game.

Head to head is 3-1 for Nole, but it’s 1-1 on hard courts and 1-1 on best of three matches.
