Lorenzo Musetti and Jannik Sinner are making the Italian fans proud. Jannik is about to break in the top 20, and he had a fantastic run at the Miami Open, where he reached the final. The tournament before, Lorenzo Musetti hit the headlines after reaching the semi-final in Acapulco starting from the qualifications.
Lorenzo and Jannik have a completely different style. While Sinner is a bit more of a baseliner, Lorenzo Musetti impresses with his great one-handed backhand and all his variations.
During a recent interview with Super Tennis, Lorenzo Musetti discussed his relationship with Jannik Sinner. The 19 years old commented:
“Journalists often compare us, but there is only friendship. We had seen each other in Monte Carlo, and then good results came out for both of us. Congratulations to him; I’m happy because he deserves it.”

Ranked no.90 (career-high), Musetti achieved a 19-8 win-loss record in 2021. Lorenzo is currently playing in Cagliari where he beat Dennis Novak 6-0 6-1.
Lorenzo Musetti will face the world no.32 Daniel Evans in the 2nd round on Thursday at 1:30 pm on CAMPO CENTRALE. In the past, they have never competed against each other until now on the main tour.
Lorenzo is currently considered the favorite to win the tournament in Cagliari. He also has stated that he wants to win the local ATP 250.
The Italian was the runner-up in the Antalya Challenger and in the Biella 2 Challenger.

Currently ranked no.23 (career-high), Sinner played his last match on the 4th of April when he was defeated by world no.16 Hubert Hurkacz 7-6(4) 6-4 in the final in Miami (draw).
Until now, during this year the Italian owns a compiled 14-5 match record. This year, Jannik lifted the trophy in Melbourne. Jannik got to the final in Miami.
