Nick Kyrgios may have jsut attracted the antipathy of another couple of players on tour. Carlos Alcaraz Garfia and Emil Ruusuvuori where playing a tough 3 setter at the Miami Open when a fan commented that we might see them around for the next decade.

The Australian was slammed by the fans for his comments also because he was lashing at 2 hard-working youngsters, while Kyrgios is not well-known for his working ethic. Kyrgios decided not to compete anymore after the Australian summer to also skip the Miami Open.
In theory, Kyrgios is on the entry list in Monte Carlo and Barcelona. Still, there are serious doubts about his participation in this event and probably the entire clay-court season.

Now the world no.51, Kyrgios played his last match on the 12th of February when he was defeated by Dominic Thiem 4-6 4-6 6-3 6-4 6-4 in the 3rd round of the Australian Open (draw).
Currently, during this season Nick achieved a composed 4-2 record.
Carlos Alcaraz Garfia in 2021
At the moment ranked no.132, Alcaraz Garfia played his last match on the 24th of March when he capitulated to Emil Ruusuvuori 6-4 2-6 7-5 in the 1st round in Miami (draw).
At present, during this year Carlos has a compiled 7-6 match record.

Ranked world no.83 (career-high), the Finn has managed to achieve a 8-6 match record in 2021. Ruusuvuori is currently having a run in Miami where he managed to beat Carlos Alcaraz Garfia 6-4 2-6 7-5.
Emil Ruusuvuori will square off with Zverev in the 2nd round. They have never competed against each other until now on the main tour.
