Novak Djokovic, Dominic Thiem, Matteo Berrettini and Stan Wawrinka are part of a glorious entry list in Belgrade. The ATP250 will be staged on the 19th of April with the obvious presence of Novak Djokovic, whose brother Djordje will be the tournament director.
Thanks to Novak’s connection, the entry list has many top names. Also, Djokovic proved to be a great host, and therefore the tennis players are well aware that they will be treated extremely well.
The Adria Tour a valuable experience
Clearly, Djokovic had to experience the Adria Tour’s failure in 2020 when some players and fans got infected by the Coronavirus. However, the times are now different, and they will be more careful with all the social distancing measures.
In theory, the tournament should be staged only this year in Belgrade. This event in Belgrade is the Hungarian Open claycourt tournament that was moved to Serbia only for this year because of the Pandemic. However, thanks to Novak Djokovic, tennis is extremely popular in Serbia and its more and more obvious that Belgrade deserves a tournament in the years to come.

Novak Djokovic in 2021
Now ranked no.1, the Serbian played his last match on the 21st of February when he overcame Daniil Medvedev 7-5 6-2 6-2 in the final of the Australian Open to win his 82nd career title.

Dominic Thiem in 2021
Now ranked no.4, Thiem played his last match on the 16th of March when he was overcome by Harris Lloyd 6-3 6-4 in the 2nd round in Dubai (draw).
