Nadal may not play in Cincinnati

The American swing is always a tricky one. You can bet that the American players will go for it, but sometimes the European ones… well… they give it a miss.

An injured Roger Federer is likely not to play in Montreal (last year he has already missed Toronto for overplaying during his triumphant summer). Now there is a speculation that Rafa won’t play in Cincinnati.

Rafa had a spectacular comeback from last year’s injury to play more ATP matches than any other player. So the Mallorcan is a bit concerned by his knee and now also by his left elbow (apparently he was struggling with it already in Wimbledon).

According to a Spanish daily Rafa doesn’t like playing in Cincinnati as “many players don’t like it because it’s geographically in the middle of nowhere.” …well… there are airplanes nowadays…
