Nadal, his injury and the French Open
Rafa has been sidelined by a back injury that occurred during the Australian Open that prevented him from playing in Rotterdam. While, in theory, Nadal is expected to be back and play in Miami (22nf od March), he will probably focus on the clay-court season with the objective to win his 14th French Open. Another success at the Frech major would allow Nadal to surpass Roger Federer after clinching his 21st slam under his belt.

Currently ranked no.2, Nadal played his last match on the 17th of February when he capitulated to Stefanos Tsitsipas 3-6 2-6 7-6(4) 6-4 7-5 in the quarter of the Australian Open (draw).
