Conchita Martinez also informed the wider public on social media with a stern statement saying: “Hi all, I wanted to inform you that I have unfortunately tested positive for coronavirus.”

The good news is that Muguruza’s coach is experiencing just mild symptoms and she still aims to be back on tour with Garbine as soon as possible, targeting the Middle East swing. The virus will not prevent Conchita from working from remote as she is constantly connected with Garbine.

“I hope that I can soon be back on this swing of the Middle East tournaments,” Martinez commented. “For now, I will be working via video calls and connected online constantly with Garbine.”
