Stefanos Tsitsipas doesn't forget the birthday of his coach and friend Kerei Abakar

Stefanos Tsitsipas And His Coach Kerei Abakar

Stefanos Tsitsipas is back in the south of France after a long Australian summer. The Greek no.1 was hoping to have a great run Down Under, especially after upsetting Rafael Nadal in the Australian Open’s quarter-final. However, he folded in the semifinal against an inspired Daniil Medvedev.

Tsitsipas’ coaches and Kerei Abakar

Like many top players, Stefanos has many coaches. The Greek sensation has his father Apostolos as his main coach. Stefanos has been using the services of the Patrick Mouratoglou Tennis Academy for long. Patrick assigned one of his top coaches, Kerei Abakar, to follow Tsitsipas. When he is around, Mouratoglou is also quite happy to coach Stefanos directly like he did during the last Australian Open.

Because of the restrictions, Kerei could not follow Stefanos in Melbourne. When back to France, Tsitsipas resumed his training with him to get ready for the following events. Stefanos didn’t miss his birthday to post this lovely message on social media:

“You think you’re special just because it’s your birthday today… no way, you’re special every day! Happy birthday @kereiabakar

Stefanos is currently scheduled to compete in Rotterdam next week before heading to Marseille and then Acapulco.
