Gael Monfils and Elina Svitolina have been dating for more than 2 years and unfortunately it seems that it is time for them to take a break. Gael and Svitolina spent a lot of time together gifting their fans with plenty of videos and funny stories.
Elina and Gael posted a lovely statement on their account stressing the fact that they are still on great terms as follows:

Gael Monfils is indeed having a rather tough moment. On court, the French champion was on a roll before the eruption of the pandemic. When the tours resumed he was strangely unable to win a single match. After losing in the first round of the Australian Open he burst into tears during the following press conference.

Currently the world no.5, the Ukrainian played her last match on the 15th of February when she surrendered to Jessica Pegula 6-4 3-6 6-3 in the 4th round of the Australian Open (draw).
