Djokovic and Dimitrov to clash in a tasty 3rd round in Paris

This is going to be a mouthwatering match between the world no.1 and one of the most convicing “prospect players” that soon or later should get to the top spot of the ranking.

Nole had a horrible draw, and part of it was this clash against Grigor Dimitrov. The Bulgarian has just defeated Nole in the first round of Madrid this year with an incredible 7-6(6), 6-7(8), 6-3. So … he might make it again.

Djokovic got to this match after demolishing Guido Pella from Argentina 6-2 6-0 6-2 in just 82 minutes. Grigor beat Pouille 6-1 7-6 (4) 6-1.

From Nole

“I think he’s got more confident as he was getting big wins in the past few months, and so he’s a tough player now to beat now, definitely,” commented the world no.1

Even though maybe his style of play could be better on the hard court or faster surfaces, he’s showing that he can play equally well on clay. He pushed  Nadal to a tough three sets in Monaco. He beat me in Madrid. “

From Grigor

“I feel I’m playing good. I know I can bring a bit more steam into the game. I think I might need that the next round. So I’m actually really looking forward to the next round. Hopefully it’s going to bring out the best out in me.

Playing against the No. 1 player in the world, it’s of course a pleasure. But at the same time you’ve got to do everything from yourself and you’ve got to do the best thing you can.”

Game on!!!
