Djokovic beats Seppi to play Del Potro in the semifinal in Dubai

Another good match by Nole. After a wobbling first game where Nole had some problems at holding serve, the world no.1 cruised to the semifinal.

The outcome was pretty clear from the very beginning. Seppi’s game is very similar to Nole’s, but Djokovic is just much better at that. The Italian was also too passive. If you are clearly inferior to your opponent and he doesn’t struggle, you need to be much more aggressive often going for broke.

So the match ended after 65 minutes with no many emotions. Nole conceded only a break point in the first game to break Seppi 4 times (3 in the first set and 1 in the second).

The world no.1 will play Del Potro (6-4 6-2 on Brands) in the semifinal.

Head to head is 7-2 for Djokovic.
