Isner, Haas and Gulbis reach the semifinals in Delray Beach

Interesting tournament in Delray beach.

We have the American and seed no.1 to finally advance to the semifinals after battling with his knee. Big Johny will play an outsider (Roger Vasselin). In the other semifinal he have an every exciting Gulbis that will play evergreen Tommy Haas.

From Haas

After defeating Dodig  7-6 (6) 2-6 6-1 the German commented

“I’m not so worried about my age really, to be honest,” Haas said. “I worry about it when my birthday comes around and I recognize the fact I’m going to turn 35 and I’ll celebrate it.

“When you’re on the court competing against somebody that’s 20, 25, 31, it doesn’t matter. You’re out there to compete and to try to win.”

From Gulbis

Ernests is trying to win his second title in Delray Beach (his first was in 2010) to have some comments about his win against qualifier Munoz-De La Nava (6-1 6-4).

“Everything was more of less good, and there was nothing I didn’t like about today’s match,” Gulbis said. “It got a little bit easy for me because my opponent today couldn’t get used to the speed and pace of the ball.”

The semifinals

Isner – Roger-Vasselin. This will be the first time these two are going to play. Isner is the hot favorite to defeat the world no.105.

Haas – Guilbis. Head to head is 1-1. Haas might be the favorite… but can you ever say that against crazy Ernests?
